What is the Christmas pre-order and how do I place an order?

Our Christmas pre-order lets you plan your festive beer range ahead of the busy season, with seasonal specials, Christmas favourites and winter releases available to order in advance.

Browse the Christmas pre-order range, select your products and quantities, then submit your order. You can also contact your Cave Direct account manager for help placing your order.

When does the pre-order close?

The deadline is 12th October. Place your order before this date to give us the best chance of securing your requested beers and quantities.

When will my order arrive?

Deliveries are expected from 9th November, subject to brewery availability and incoming shipments. If you need stock for a particular event or launch date, let your account manager know when ordering so they can check the timings.

Likewise, there may be delays with some incoming products, so we will have a second phase delivery for any late coming products at the start of December. Any product that is not in by this window will be communicated to you.

Can I add core beers to my Christmas pre-order?

Core products need to be ordered separately from your pre-order products. Place a separate order and ask us to combine them, or contact your account manager to arrange for core beers to be added to your pre-order delivery.

Can I request delivery closer to Christmas?

Speak to your account manager before ordering if you need a specific delivery date or would like stock held for an event. They can confirm what is possible before you make your plans.

Will I be able to reorder nearer Christmas?

Seasonal releases may have limited availability, so further stock cannot be guaranteed. Include your expected festive requirements in your pre-order and contact your account manager if you need a top-up later.

Who should I contact for help?

Your Cave Direct account manager can help with product choices, pack sizes, availability and delivery arrangements.

Why are there bottle and crate deposits on my order?

Some European breweries use returnable bottles and crates, which we send back to be cleaned and reused. A refundable deposit is added to these products and shown on the product page and in your basket before checkout.

How much are the deposits?

How do I get my deposit back?
Return the bottles and crates to us and make sure your driver records them in the case returns section of your delivery note. Returns must be recorded at collection for a refund to be processed.

Can I return the crates without the bottles?
Yes. You will receive the £2.50 crate deposit back, but the bottle deposit will not be refunded. If you cannot return the bottles, factor this cost into your selling price.

How should I prepare my returns?
Have your empty bottles and crates ready before your delivery arrives, with bottles packed into their returnable crates. Let your account manager know in advance if you have a large quantity to return so collection can be planned.
