        <title>Paulaner & Salvatorfest in Munich</title>
        <link>https://cavedirect.com/blog/paulaner-salvator-in-munich</link>
        <description>

Each spring, Munich plays host to Starkbierfest, the city&rsquo;s strong beer season and at the heart of it sits Salvatorfest, Paulaner&rsquo;s iconic celebration of their legendary Doppelbock, Salvator.

&ldquo;Salvatorfest is Munich&rsquo;s best kept secret.

At the centre of it all is Salvator itself, a beer with over 400 years of history behind it.

They followed the adage "liquidum non frangit ieiunium" which translates to "Liquid bread wouldn't break the Lent.

Over time, Salvator laid the foundation for the Doppelbock style and remains Paulaner&rsquo;s strongest and most traditional beer at 7.

Our trip began early landing us in Munich by 10am.

From there, we took a stroll through the city, soaking in Munich&rsquo;s charm.

After a quick refresh at the hotel, we headed to Paulaner am Nockherberg.

&nbsp;

After this, it was onto the main event: Salvatorfest itself.

The evening started steadily with steins of Paulaner M&uuml;nchner Hell before some moved onto Salvator.

The following day was a slower pace, with time to explore more of the city, including a real highlight, which was a visit to the Beer & Oktoberfest Museum.

All in all, an incredible trip.

A huge thank you to Paulaner for hosting and for an unforgettable experience.

At Cave Direct, we run multiple trips like this for our customers throughout the year.

This isn&rsquo;t a compromise or a tweak, it&rsquo;s the same House Party people already love.

"The same House Party Session IPA people love, now gluten-free and open to more drinkers than ever.

Alongside the recipe update, House Party has had a full visual refresh.

We recently poured the gluten-free House Party at the Northern Restaurant & Bar show in Manchester and the response said it all.

If you&rsquo;re looking to add a proven, high-quality session IPA to your bar that ticks all the boxes, House Party delivers.

Cave Direct's first trip out to Stavanger, Norway to meet with Lervig and Cave Direct with Lervig at NRB in 2026.

This moment also marks something bigger.

Built on a shared belief in quality and creativity, the relationship has always gone beyond distribution.

Where do we go from here?

        <title>Stiegl, Wildshut and the Austrian Alps: A trip to remember</title>
        <link>https://cavedirect.com/blog/stiegl-wildshut-austrian-alps-brewery-trip</link>
        <description>

There are brewery visits and then there are Stiegl visits.

Earlier this year we were lucky enough to be hosted by Stiegl Brewery for a trip that perfectly summed up what the brewery is all about: independence, quality, hospitality and a deep connection to place.

From the moment we landed in Salzburg, Austria did what it does best.

&nbsp;

"Stiegl produces over 1 million hectolitres of beer a year, yet remains family-owned and independent.

Behind the scenes at Stiegl

Our guided tour of the Stiegl Brewery was led by Markus Schwaiger whose knowledge of the brewery and Salzburg is nothing short of encyclopaedic.

To put that scale into context, Stiegl produces over 1 million hectolitres of beer per year, with multiple 30m tall fermentation tanks working around the clock.
&nbsp;

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

One of the standout moments from the tour was learning more about Stiegl Goldbr&auml;u.

It was next we ventured into the tasting cellar within the brewery.

That philosophy carried straight through into dinner at the Stiegl Brauwelt Restaurant attached to the brewery itself.
&nbsp;

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Wildshut: farming, brewing and flavour

The following day took us just outside Salzburg to Stiegl-Gut Wildshut, Austria&rsquo;s first beer estate and a unique second arm of the Stiegl family.

Wildshut lives by the idea of from soil to glass.
&nbsp;

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

"Wildshut is Austria&rsquo;s first beer estate, handling everything from soil to glass on one site.

As a change of pace from beer, we also had the chance to try the Wildshut Bio Whisky N&deg;12, distilled on site using organically grown grains and Wildshut&rsquo;s own water source.

Lunch at Wildshut was a real highlight.
&nbsp;

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Back in Salzburg that afternoon, Markus once again guided us through the city sharing stories of its fortress, definitely not a castle as was made clear to us, historic rockfalls and the origins of Stiegl itself.

The day ended at the Stiegl Keller with two unforgettable moments.
&nbsp;

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

From brewery to mountains

With Salzburg behind us it was time to swap cobbled streets for ski lifts and head to Flachau.

Conditions were spot on with fresh snow welcoming both skiers and non-skiers alike.

Apr&egrave;s ski lived up to its reputation too.
&nbsp;

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

More than just a brewery trip

Huge thanks must go to Thomas and everyone at Stiegl for hosting us so generously, especially Markus whose passion for the brewery, the beer and Salzburg itself made the experience what it was.

And that&rsquo;s the exciting part.

If you&rsquo;d like the opportunity to experience a trip like this for yourself, speak to your Cave Direct account manager and ask about Stiegl Goldbr&auml;u options.

Because with Stiegl the beer and the experience always go hand in hand.

        <title>Celebration on Cask - A West Coast Legend Goes Properly British</title>
        <link>https://cavedirect.com/blog/celebration-cask-a-west-coast-legend</link>
        <description>

Forget tinsel, forget carols.

&nbsp;

Yes.

For decades, Celebration has been poured in keg and bottle, bursting with citrus zest, pine resin and that unapologetic Sierra snap of bitterness.

And it&rsquo;s kind of poetic.

Of course, as you may have heard, we are also running some pretty exciting Sierra Nevada Tap Takeovers at a few key venues - including the Sutton Arms on the 17th of December, where Steve Grossman himself will be joining the party.

But Celebration on cask is the real star of the show.
&nbsp;

We&rsquo;ve worked closely with Sierra Nevada to make this happen, and the result is that this year, pubs across the UK.

It&rsquo;s exciting.
And we&rsquo;re toasting every second of it.

Whether you&rsquo;re a West Coast warrior, a cask traditionalist or someone simply curious about how hops behave when given a softer stage, this is a beer you&rsquo;ll want to hunt down.

And here&rsquo;s the best bit: if you&rsquo;re a publican, bar manager or buyer and you want to be part of the 2026 rollout - cask or keg - you can get ahead of the game.

Fresh hops.
Let&rsquo;s make next year even bigger.

&nbsp;

And if you're a Sierra fan through and through, you can stock both Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and California IPA year-round directly from Cave Direct.

        <title>Celly Drippins - The Unicorn Beer We Bet On (and Won)</title>
        <link>https://cavedirect.com/blog/celly-drippins-comes-to-the-united-kingdom</link>
        <description>

Every now and then in the beer world something outrageous happens.

&nbsp;

If you know and love Sierra Nevada&rsquo;s iconic festive release Celebration.

Until now, it&rsquo;s been a beer known only to pour in Sierra Nevada taprooms.

Until now.

We&rsquo;re ridiculously excited to announce that next week, for the first time in history, Celly Drippins will be poured in the UK, and there&rsquo;s only one place you can get it:

Beer Merchants Tap
London E9 5LN
Thursday 18 December, from 7pm
&nbsp;

Pouring as part of a full Sierra Nevada Tap Takeover with the brewery's own International Ambassaor, Steve Grossman.

We&rsquo;ve secured one 20L keg.

And the way we got the keg?

It all goes back to our charity event last year at Beer Merchants Tap, where a friendly game of fussball kicked off between the Cave Direct crew and members of the Sierra Nevada team.

A wager was made: if Team Cave Direct won, they&rsquo;d secure a keg of Celly Drippins for the UK.

And so, fuelled by competitive spirit (and maybe a touch of pale-ale-powered confidence), our team delivered.

&nbsp;

But that&rsquo;s not all, the Celly Drippins pour will be part of a wider Sierra Nevada Tap Takeover on the night, with Steve Grossman, Sierra Nevada&rsquo;s International Ambassador, in attendance to oversee pours, talk beer and perform a very thorough quality check.

It&rsquo;s not often the UK gets a true exclusive like this.

If you&rsquo;re a Celebration fan, a Sierra Nevada devotee or just a beer enthusiast who loves being able to say &ldquo;I was there that night,&rdquo; you&rsquo;re not going to want to miss this.

One keg.

The fussball table might have left us, but we&rsquo;re taking ideas for our next wager with Steve, perhaps over a game of darts?

See you on the 18th.

        <link>https://cavedirect.com/blog/beamish-comes-to-great-britain-with-cave-direct</link>
        <description>

If you know, you know.

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Few names in Irish brewing carry as much weight as Beamish, the iconic stout from Cork that&rsquo;s been quietly winning loyal drinkers since 1792.

We&rsquo;re thrilled to announce that Cave Direct is now the importer and distributor of Beamish Irish Stout in Great Britain.

Beamish is a beer built on tradition.

"Growing up, there was always an air of mystery around Beamish.

"This partnership has been three years in the making, and now, bringing it to Great Britain is more than just adding another beer to our range, it&rsquo;s about giving drinkers access to a classic that deserves to be poured with pride.

        <title>A Visit to Omnipollo: Pilsner, Pastry, and Everything In Between</title>
        <link>https://cavedirect.com/blog/a-visit-to-omnipollo-pilsner-pastry-and-everything-in-between</link>
        <description>

There are breweries that make great beer, and then there are breweries that change the way you think about beer.
&nbsp;

We began our trip with a visit to&nbsp;Omnipollo Flora, where we started with incredible burgers and sides that set the tone for the day, with a sampling of Amy, their French Oak Pilsner.

After lunch, we were lucky enough to get a personal tour of the city with Robert and Mikkael, sampling a few of the local bars and a quick boat journey to the archipelagos, before arriving at Omnipollo Hatt, which was the perfect spot for pizzas and the first chance to try their famous Soft Serve beer pours with Pleroma.

At&nbsp;Omnipollo Hatt, Henok was kind enough to give us a sneak peek behind the curtain &mdash; and it perfectly summed up Omnipollo&rsquo;s constant drive to innovate.

The next day, we headed to the Church to visit co-founder and head designer Karl Grandin&rsquo;s studio at the top of the Church, where we saw firsthand the design work that underpins Omnipollo&rsquo;s identity.

One of the most striking things about Omnipollo is how their venues feel like extensions of their brewing philosophy.
&nbsp;

What really struck us is the balance in their lineup.

On the other side, you&rsquo;ve got the classics executed to perfection.

It&rsquo;s also a statement.
&nbsp;

Omnipollo also thrives on collaboration.

One of the joys of working with Omnipollo is the sheer pace of their creativity.
&nbsp;

The most exciting thing?

We left Stockholm inspired, refreshed, and maybe just a little obsessed with that Pilsner.

Why not try Omnipollo Pilsner yourself?

        <title>New Cave Direct North warehouse doubles capacity</title>
        <link>https://cavedirect.com/blog/cave-direct-north-moves-to-a-new-home-in-hyde</link>
        <description>

Big news from Cave Direct: our Manchester warehouse has a brand-new home!

The new warehouse is&nbsp;double the capacity of our previous site, giving us the room we need to expand our cold storage, improve logistics, and most importantly,&nbsp;bring even more beer to the customers we supply across the region.

From Cave Direct North's early days at Unit 101 in Manchester Piccadilly, to Ardwick, and now Hyde, the journey reflects how much our community of trade customers has grown.

With more space comes:

	Higher stockholding&nbsp;&ndash; greater capacity means a wider range of the best breweries from the UK, Europe, and the US.
	Improved efficiency&nbsp;&ndash; faster turnaround and better stock availability for our customers.
	Improved POS support&nbsp;&ndash; larger POS availability means we can better promote the beers in your venue.
	A stronger base for the North&nbsp;&ndash; ensuring pubs, bars, and retailers across the region continue to get the service and beer selection they need.

The move is now completed, and beer is flowing out of the new warehouse in Hyde.

&nbsp;

Our New Address is:
Cave Direct North, 16 Dunkirk Lane,&nbsp;Hyde, SK14 4PL

        <title>Celebrate Euro 24 with Paulaner</title>
        <link>https://cavedirect.com/blog/celebrate-euro-24-with-paulaner</link>
        <description>

With the UEFA EURO 2024 just around the corner this summer it's time to gear up and get prepared for the excitement with Paulaner and Cave Direct.

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Paulaner is offering Cave Direct customers an exclusive consumer competition to drive sales in your venue for the full duration of this year's UEFA EURO 2024 competition and to celebrate that the tournament is being held in Germany.

This competition gives your customers the opportunity to win a trip to Munich to watch a Bayern Munich game in the 2024-2025 season, a signed Harry Kane Bayern Munich Jersey, or a &pound;200 package of Paulaner beer.
&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Stock up for Euro 24 the Paulaner way - make sure you've got plenty of their range on hand on your draught offering such as Paulaner Weissbier and Munich Helles, to make watching the football even better.

You could also take your offering to the next level by having 2-pint steins at the ready, as you provide the full Munich experience for your customers.

&nbsp;

To make the most of the tournament at your venue, here are some tips:

	Start by grabbing a traditional German stein for your customers.
	Oktoberfest vibes in mind, deck out your space with stuff like Bavarian flags, pretzels, and lederhosen to really get into the Germany theme.
	Make sure you have enough Paulaner beer on hand&mdash;it's the go-to brew for Oktoberfest, so it's the best option to celebrate EURO 24 being held in Germany.
	To set up a great atmosphere for game day, put together a playlist that&rsquo;s all about football and includes some top German tunes and anthems to boost everyone's mood.

        <title>Bar In The Village - A hub for local entertainment</title>
        <link>https://cavedirect.com/blog/bar-in-the-village-a-hub-for-local-entertainment</link>
        <description>

In a small quaint village called Timperley just outside of central Manchester, lies a beautiful little venue called Bar In The Village.

Bar in the village has established itself as a great cocktail & craft bar that aims to build community by providing drinks that bring people together and an atmosphere that is a hub for local entertainment.

&nbsp;

Opening in November 2019 their approach was to deliver only the finest service to their customers from in and around the local community.

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Not only does Bar in the Village have a venue in Timperley, but they also have a horse box which they have refurbished with a couple of lines.

&nbsp;

In September of this year, Bar In The Village refurbished their bar with classic wooden shelving displaying their spirits, with a brand new ten-line tap wall, finished with a stylish bar front to showcase all the amazing cocktails which they make.
